Update Sonos Automatically
- Go to the Sonos App settings on your Android or iOS enabled smartphone.
- Under ‘Settings’, go to ‘System Updates’.
- Turn on ‘Automatic Updates’.
Usually, Automatic system update runs after midnight but it might postpone if any other update is scheduled between these hours. However, there’s the option to set the time of Auto updates automatically. There’re 4 slots available viz., Morning or evening between 5 to 7, Afternoon between 12 to 2 P.m. and Late night from 2 to 4 A.m.
It has to be noted here that scheduling auto update as mentioned above is for Sonos speakers and not for Sonos mobile App. To update the app, it’s advisable to go to the relevant app store.
If the auto update option doesn’t seem convenient, it’s also possible to update the Sonos speakers manually. Know how –
For Android and iOS Application –
- Open the Sonos App.
- At the top right corner, go to the ‘More’ option.
- Tap ‘Settings’.
- Then go to System updates.
- The latest update will be available to install.
For PC Controller Application –
- Open the Sonos Desktop Application.
- Go to ‘Menu’.
- Click on ‘Check for updates’.
- And click to update the Sonos PC App.
